Instructor was well prepared for teaching the class, very professional with the presentation of materials and knowledgeable of materials presented. Level 1 was as expected, beginner level but learned a few things despite.

The instructor did get ahead of the class but when made aware of it he was very good at backing it up. Several people near me were not vocal when the fell behind which made it hard to tell. Overall, the 2 days have been extremely valuable. I’ve learned a lot that will help me in my job. Overall, I feel the value of the past 2 days have been excellent.

I enjoyed the course; I think the materials were suited to a basic beginner using Excel 2010. I enjoyed the macro section as well as the graphs. I create multiple types of spreadsheets and bookkeeping items and all the review was applicable to this. I think everyone has different background levels with Excel skillset and Jeff did a really good job explaining each section, he was patient and took the time to answer individual questions. I would like to come back for Level 2 soon. Great intro course for someone in my work or someone who creates or uses spreadsheets on a regular basis.

Always like hearing trainer’s experiences in his or her work to give real examples. Sometimes a new user can take a long time to find the “simple way”. I liked that the instructor was very passionate about the subject he was teaching. I liked his time management because the class was very intense in the short amount of time but he was able to cover a lot. He took the time to help everyone along the way. He was very easy to deal with and very easy to understand. At times it felt that his explanations were a bit fast, but if you’re fully paying attention and listening, you wouldn’t be missing much. I learned a lot in the two days I attended this class and I had zero previous experience with Sage 50.

We spent a lot of time on budgeting, not everyone was getting it. I would have liked to see different scenarios. More work on setting up spreadsheets/formulas etc.. There should be more for advanced Excel users in management positions.

I have used QB from 2008, this was a good refresher for me to look into different features available in new QuickBooks.

My work does not include some of the topics covered, but I knew that coming into the course. I did get instruction and information in the areas I was looking for/ expecting. Not a criticism of course – course cannot be all things to all people. Thank you.

Slightly lower level than expecting. Would have preferred a more in depth course with an instructor who had more hands on daily working knowledge of Sage. Instructor has a good working knowledge of the functions.

In my line of work, I use QuickBooks to input data, all purchases and matching bank statements to the purchases. My hope for this program was to have a better understanding of the program I am working with. The course met with my expectations and allows me less intimidation of the program. Thank you for your time and effort.

Teaching shortcuts (i.e.: ctrl-a or auto fills) while demonstrating would be more helpful. Friendly, open instructor. Simplifies things for students who were having trouble, without being condescending, Knowledge of QuickBooks was great. I enjoyed the class, didn’t learn as much as I had hoped but his content and delivery was good.

Great overview, could have been less review to start earlier and earlier (However it is Sage 50 1, so people might not understand) Instructor was very good. Explained in great detail. Great detail to refresh memory. Enjoyed the hands on part the most!

The classroom was very hot but overall met my expectations. Instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will give her a 10 on 10.

I wish we could have covered more advanced examples but I understand that we only have so much time to cover specific functions of Excel.

A handout take away would be helpful & basic “How to record a payment” or “how to set up direct deposits” would be great for level 1. Although, I am leaving with a much better understanding of the program.

I found Level 2 much more appropriate for what I’m doing. I’m leaving with a much better understanding of how to set up and run payroll.

Showing the formulas on the spreadsheets helped allow people to progress at a faster learning rate.

Enjoyed the class. Instructor was interesting and made it relevant to my business requirements. I would suggest that if someone is booking QB2, it is verified that they have an understanding of QB1. One class member was not in QB1, but in QB2 and they left. That class member held things up. I would also suggest giving the ability to change the mouse to left hand. I ached after using it right handed for 2 days.

When Jeff didn’t know something he found out or admitted he didn’t know. Glad there were no computer glitches today as Jeff did R8 update to fix the bugs.

Helpful, liked the chart view. I had had experience so I did know some things. Nice to learn more and learn how to use it properly.

The instructor was awesome. Very friendly and easy to approach. Did his best to answer company specific questions and provided a solution to long standing issues we’ve been having in QB. We only deal with AR side of things therefor the AP info seems waste of time for us at least those who attended from my company.

Computers could have been better but at least they worked. Class size was on the large side. The instructor was really helpful and kept class on track, spoke well and has a sense of humor.

Russell is extremely well organized, very helpful and approachable. He provided excellent helpful hints and shortcuts, and amused all of my questions. He is an excellent instructor! I was sad to hear my classes were rescheduled but at least I was able to take them down the road. Refreshments would have been nice

Great information. Instructor kept the class moving forward and he covered all of the topics outlines. Content was more business corporate sector while I am in a non-profit charity, but can be adapted.

My only struggle with the class is that my small business has only 1 employee, no inventory, etc. so everything taught in the class did not pertain to me personally otherwise the instructor did a great job. Also, I wish we spent time on reports and reconciliations.

This was a great class but I should have gone right to QB level 2 – My bad! The instructor was wonderful- very encouraging on asking questions which helped many trying students. Very Knowledgeable and friendly. All in all it was worth the 4 hour drive and getting up at 4 am.

Course was very helpful with the navigation of the software. Spent a little too much time on certain criteria that was no use to me because we already had other resources for our payroll and our point of sale software looks after our inventory.

We have a program that most of the stuff is done in and then it’s posted to QuickBooks, so most of the options we not of use to us. I learned a few things like payroll, it was nice to learn but we don’t use most of it. All accounting reports mostly are my side of this program. Thanks.

Found it was great to have a computer to follow along with. I took the course a few years ago in Vancouver and you didn’t have computers and you had more students per class.

Level one was a good introductory class. It moved at a good pace allowing adequate time for thorough discussion of each aspect of the software as well as answering any questions that came up. I especially liked the ability to have access to the internet so if I was already familiar with a function that was being discussed. I could access my e-mails and business documents on line. The instructor was very helpful in addressing questions at lunch and at breaks and further explained alternative ways of processing things specific to my business. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and look forward to level 2 tomorrow!
